They treasure it
and wished it to maintain that purity... To eternity if possible.
They taint it
with their own colour so that they feel possession ... Or possibly seek the
companionship in tainted....
They left in silence, unwilling to be compared with
their tainted selves... Or possibly having mixed feelings...
People will always
be people...
Now, someone tainted wishes that pure little thing be on its own
and free to be itself, and strength to be so...
